Re: Part 3 - Zebra Oscillators
Mark,
C::\Program Files\u-he\zebra2\modules... does not exist in Z 2.5 anymore.
Good mention of 64 bit os folders.
I got halfway through the video and I have to run. I have a show tommorrow and i have to go pick up the drums...
So far no issues with the audio. Everything sounds good.
Cant wait to finish watching. Will return.

Re: Part 3 - Zebra Oscillators
if you had zebra previously installed it copies all the folders and leaves a copy in the original directory. the one it uses is in the vst plugins folder where you install z 2.5. i know there are 3 options when you install. but if you do a fresh install there is only one folder placed inside the vst plugins folder.

Re: Part 3 - Zebra Oscillators
Once again the video is full of information and has some great tips.. Audio and video quality was good. I did find at 26.50 when you say frequency modulation oscillator there is a glitch and it sounds like you say frrreeeequncy modulation its not a biggy and i dont know if any one else noticed or had the same problem.
all and all great video.
Kind Regards
Anthony

Re: Part 3 - Zebra Oscillators
Mark,
I finished fully watching the video.
Very in depth and informative.
When I listen through my headphones everything sounds fine. When I listen throught my laptop speakers I can barely hear when you talk. Just a thought for someone who might want to preview these vids on the road like I am. You really have a hard time listening with out headphones. Music plays fine on my speakers. Mabey normalize the audio.
Like I mentioned above you went in depth on all topics covered. There were no bad transitions. The video flowed along and you actully made some cool sounds while you were showing the technics which is alway a plus. Sometimes when some one shows you something and it comes out not even close, you loose intrest. I found your sounds were fresh, showing off whar zebra can do.
On to the next video.

Re: Part 3 - Zebra Oscillators
HI Matt,
Glad you liked the video. some of the really cool stuff in Zebra is coming up in the later videos.
regarding the audio levels on your laptop, is this the only video that does this?
TBH i am surprised, especially as its the voice you cant hear being at 3-5000khz its normally the last thing
to suffer on any system with regards to hearing it, i will check it on my laptop this morning.
anyhoo thanks for feedback,
Mark

Re: Part 3 - Zebra Oscillators
Mark,
I found it odd to. If I play music, a dvd, even chat over voice every thing is fine. For some reason when you are talking your voice is super low and I have to put on my headphones where then every thing sounds as it should.
Odd

Re: Part 3 - Zebra Oscillators
savings oscillating presets easy to follow
5:23-5:42 is TOO RUSHED! Are you going to cover this later??? If so, PLEASE MENTION THAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Else, run through it now instead of skipping over this -> All this seems VERY INTERESTING! oh, seems you're telling me @ 5:50 onwards...
@10:58 - interesting... Can we use curves instead of straight lines?
@12: worfed, or morphed... YOU TREKIE!
@ 13:38 - I guess we can use curves instead of straight lines! COOL!
@ 15:50: This key control stuff I ain't getting... I'm a little daft... probably need to try it out....
@17: DO YOU MEAN TO TELL ME THAT ZEBRA ALSO DOES ADDITIVE SYNTHESIS????????? This isn't just a subtractive synthesizer? ***If so, you may want to mention this fact\point in the introduction to Zebra video.***
@ 18:30 I LIKE IT!!! OH MAN!!!!! ORGASMIC! THIS IS SO FREAKING CRAZY! And then we have the filters to do a hybrid additive\subtractive synthesizer!
@ 22:00 FM SYNTHESIS, TOO???? REALLY? ZEBRA ROCKS! Please include this info in the introductory video on Zebra, sir!
@ 31: thanks for the warning about loud sounds coming up...
@ 31:20, Why does the order of the oscillators show up in\follow the order of the actual chain (ie., fm before vcf1)? btw, what is vcf1 again? I forgot already...
@33: I still ain't understand this key stuff... I probably have to do it on my own to figure it out exactly... The thing that doesn't make that much sense is all them different keypads on the screen and the effect of the line with it's different points...
@35: you mention manual... you talking about the video series pdf file provided by you, or something from UHU Zebra people?
noise stuff is interesting... don't know how much I'm gonna' use that stuff, though... But I'm glad you illustrated the stuff... I'm sure I can use it.
Question #1: Why does the filter video come before the oscillator video?
Question #2: Can the knobs in Zebra be controlled by external controllers and automation?
Questino #3: You mentioned in the video that you studied this stuff in university? What did you study? And where? Perhaps it may be helpful to include some of this educational background info in an information page (eg., About me page).
Overall, a very, very informative video!
FINAL COMMENT: I'M VERY, VERY HAPPY TO BE A BETA TESTER FOR THIS SERIES!

Selling you Virus eh, join the club - hahaha
Question #1: Why does the filter video come before the oscillator video?
IT DOESNT ! Its just the way i finished them and put them up here.
Question #2: Can the knobs in Zebra be controlled by external controllers and automation?
Yes it can, this is shown in a later video.
Questino #3: You mentioned in the video that you studied this stuff in university? What did you study? And where? Perhaps it may be helpful to include some of this educational background info in an information page (eg., About me page).
Your right and this has been taken care off for the new release date.
